As a flat, outdoor surface, your deck takes quite the beating from the elements. Dry, chapped and maybe even chippy, you can bring it back to life with a fresh coat of translucent stain. If you can sweep a floor, you can stain your deck. So, learn how to stain a deck with style with us!
Prepare your deck using a pressure washer and strip or sand with a commercial sander. Remove any dust and remaining debris.
Stain with the RENUVO paint applicator. Simply fill the reservoir with the stain of your choice, start in a corner and apply evenly to revive your deck surface.
To begin anew, paint stain and furniture paint colors were selected from a range of gray tones. Like stone and statuary, shades of gray are harmonious with plants and greenery and have a calming, tranquil appeal. Just the mood for a restful, outdoor escape.
The dark-toned decking will provide a dramatic foundation for layers of rugs and furnishings. Use plants in neutral-toned containers to provide multiple points of interest as well as boundaries for the space. Use similarly colored and textual furnishings.
To round it off, revive old furnishings with a coat of Pittsburgh Paints’ Dover Gray applied with the FLEXiO® 890 in our instant spray booth. Simple accessories like a wicker ottoman, hurricane candle holder and tin-topped coffee table can all be upcycled from yard sale finds or from inside the owner’s home.
